South Yorkshire based event management company, Montgomery Leisure Services (MLS) have been awarded the contract to deliver the 31st Westfield Health British Transplant Games as part of a three year contract.
The Games are one of the biggest annual multi-sports events in the UK and will take place at venues across Sheffield from 7th until 11th August, this year.
MLS have been appointed by the Transplant Sport UK (TSUK) the charity behind the Games to develop, manage and fundraise for the Games and to support the delivery of TSUK events such as Badminton, Volleyball.
The aim of the Games is to encourage transplant patients to regain fitness, to demonstrate the benefits of organ transplantation and to promote awareness of the need for more people to sign on to the NHS Organ Donor Register. The Games are set to deliver more than £2.5m of economic impact to the Sheffield City region.
MLS is now recognised globally as a leader in consultancy in all aspects of sport and leisure for both the private and public market sectors. Having successfully moved on from its regional sporting roots MLS is now acknowledged as being an ideal choice for providing sports consultancy services for projects around the world.
Based in Sheffield, MLS have associates in Belgium, France, India, Singapore and the US. With a total of 25 staff working on a number of projects who all have experience of working on major events and sports programmes.
