One of the primary reasons that MLS was established in 1990 was to draw on the event management experience of Gerry Montgomery himself and the other founding members of his team, which include World Student Games and European Swimming Championships amongst others.
From that time MLS has gone from strength to strength in the field of sports event management. The events themselves have included multi-sport competitions such as the Commonwealth Games and World Corporate Games, to World Championships in a number of major sports.
MLS can produce an initial feasibility study and prepare a bid document on behalf of event organisers, local or national governments. If the bid is successful the MLS team are able to organise all aspects of the event management - from selection of key personnel through venue fit out, development of the sports programme and finally project management of the event itself.
